REGGIO EMILIA – Night of madness and passion in the San Maurizio area. It was just after 2.30 when two Calabrians, both originally from Cutro, faced each other in the street, giving rise to a violent argument over a woman, which was interrupted shortly afterwards by two local police patrols arriving on site, with the support of a gazelle from the carabinieri. Having stopped the protagonists of the altercation and called the ambulance to help the more serious of the two, who was then transported to the emergency room with minor bruises and discharged two hours later, the officers reconstructed the story at the origin of the clash. It seems that the injured man did not like the relationship between the one he considered her woman and her fellow countryman and thus decided to make his love rival pay for it. So last night around 2.00 he went to via Tamburini with the intention of damaging his car. The rival, however, noticed what was happening, seeing from the window of the house, his adversary fiddling around the car and so, immediately understanding his intentions, he first called the police and then took to the street to try to reduce the damage. From his words we soon moved on to facts, but the prompt intervention of the local police and carabinieri avoided the worst.
