There is less and less leftofficial opening of the summer transfer market and for Palermo it is time to complete some operations, which the Rosanero management has continuously carried out in recent days.
Vandeputte concrete goal
Among the many, the one that concerns stands out Jari Vandeputteleft winger under the Catanzaro. The pinks have never hidden their interest in the Belgian who, in the season recently concluded (the second in B after the 2020/21 season spent with the Vicenza shirt ed), showed the best of his repertoire by scoring 10 goals and churning out the beauty of 15 assists in 41 appearances.
Born in Ghent twenty-eight years ago, Vandeputte still has one year left on his contract with the Giallorossi club, but the excellent performances shown in the last B tournament inevitably attracted the attention to him attention of several clubs in the cadet championship and beyond (Cagliari, Udinese and Turin would have knocked on his door). There is therefore no shortage of competition for the Rosanero, but the Viale del Fante club does not intend to give up and already has proposed a four-year contract to the player with interesting figures.
According to accredited sources (Di Marzio and Alaimo) the interested parties will update next week. The Calabrian club has already set the cost of the price tag, evaluating it between three and four million euros. Palermo for its part hopes to smooth out the figure, perhaps trying to include one in the negotiation technical counterpart: Di Mariano or Soleri are the most likely options at the moment. We will know more in the next few days.
Among the incoming movements also worth mentioning for the pink club is theinterest in the very young striker Rocco Vataborn in 2005 Celtic and the Irish Under21 national team. Watford’s pressure was also on him. Vata would arrive at zero cost, having been released since May 31st.
Still a future in Sicily for Marconi?
And speaking of free agents, there’s news of one possible stay in Sicily for Ivan Marconidefender of Palermo who from July 1st will be a free player for all intents and purposes. Among the many Serie C teams that have shown interest for the central expert (Vicenza, Virtus Entella, Pescara and Feralpisalò above all) there are also two Sicilian teams: Trapani and Catania.
