Following investigations into drugs, the possession of assets disproportionate to his earning capacity emerged against a 33-year-old man believed to be close to the Parisi clan.

In recent days the State Police carried out an order for the early seizure of assets, a prevention measure, issued by the Court of Bari at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Police Headquarters, against a 33-year-old man and 4 other people traceable to him.

The assets seized by the policemen of the Anti-Crime Division of the Police Headquarters – Prevention Measures Section – consists of a multi-storey villa with swimming pool, located in Bari and used as a bed & breakfast with related business activities, and six bank current accounts.

The overall estimated value is approximately 1 million and 500 thousand euros.

The asset investigation, launched in the spring of 2023 and conducted with the support of the Central Anti-Crime Service of Rome, focused on the 33-year-old, a multiple convicted felon believed to be contiguous to the Parisi clan of Bari, found to be the owner of assets disproportionate to his earning capacity. Real estate and movable assets registered in his name, people close to him and family members have been identified.

In 2022 the man was involved in an operation concerning drug crimes. It is important to specify that the measure adopted will be subjected to judicial scrutiny by the Judge, in cross-examination with the defence.
