The composition of the Committee for the XVII legislature has been designated on the proposal of councilor Achille Spinelli
Here is the team of experts who will have the task of supporting the Province in the next five years in terms of new frontiers for science, technology and development.
The Provincial Council, on the proposal of the councilor for economic development, work, university, research Achille Spinelli (photo), designated the composition of the Committee for Research and Innovation for the XVII legislature. This is the body provided for by the provincial law on research, which is appointed by the Provincial Council and is made up of five members, including the president, one of whom is designated by the minorities of the Provincial Council.
«The Research and Innovation Committee – said councilor Spinelli – is made up of authoritative experts, chosen from among people with proven qualifications and experience in the scientific, technological and cultural world, external to the provincial administration, as required by provincial law . A body which, thanks to the vision and competence of its members, will accompany us during this new legislature to pursue the challenging objectives we have set ourselves, such as the further consolidation of the scientific excellence of our research system and the development of a increasingly strong link between businesses and the world of research. In fact, only by working together will our territory be able to overcome the challenges of attractiveness, competitiveness and productivity.”
Therefore, for the current legislature, Mario Calderini, full professor at the Polytechnic of Milan, as president, Fabio Fava, full professor at the University of Bologna, Candido Pirri, full professor at the Polytechnic of Turin, Sabrina Pricl , associate professor at the University of Trieste, and Carla Piazza, full professor at the University of Udine, as a member designated by the minorities of the Provincial Council to replace Professor Barbara Pernici.
