“We have reached the conclusion of the work of appointing the council team by basing our work on two shared basic criteria” explained the mayor chosen by the people of Gallia in the elections of last 8 and 9 June 2024.
Galliate: the new mayor Cantone has chosen his councillors
These are the criteria followed by the new mayor Alberto Cantonewho took office after the victory at the polls against the incumbent Claudiano DiCaprio: “A first criterion was that of the consensus that our candidates obtained in the electoral phase, a second criterion is certainly that of the competence that each individual can bring to the disposal of the Administration, both through professional and administrative experience”.
Cantone then explains how in the attribution of delegations we wanted to “prioritise linearity in the organisation, therefore trying to fragment the competences of the Municipality’s administrative structure as little as possible in relations with the competent councilors: we would like to ensure that for each subject the univocal relationship between organizational positions and administrators is clear”.
The delegations
Cantone will personally take care of the budget department and personnel.
The vice-mayor will be Emanuele Zuin with whom Cantone has shared the last 5 years of work in the City Council. Zuin will also assume responsibility for public works, production activities and trade, work, tourism and territorial marketing.
Roberto Vellata he will be the councilor for urban planning and the environment.
Carmen Ceffa it will deal with social policies, personal assistance and housing policies.
Susanna Garzulano will have the delegation to culture, education and school
Alessandro Basile he will be the councilor for security, local police, civil protection and will take care of sport, youth policies and events
“We believe we have defined a serious and competent team, which will do its utmost for the renewal of Galliate. We will certainly assign many delegations to the City Councilors to ensure that active participation in administrative life is broadened as much as possible” concludes the mayor of Galliate .
