The regional council decided this to accommodate season ticket holdersrecognizing the inevitable inconvenience caused by the works underway along the two railway lines, with the aim of encouraging Anyway the choice of public transport compared to the private one, which is less sustainable, during the duration of the construction sites where the use of the replacement service by bus.
The incentive is intended for subscribers to public transport on the Bologna-Prato or Bologna-Portomaggiore railway lines who use the self-replacement service also in combination with the train. The line railway Bologna-Portomaggiore it is object in these years of important interventions and of urban mending in Bologna, where the works to extend the undergrounding of the railwayand starting from December 2024 for 24 months of suppression of level crossings, which cause accidents and malfunctions of the line, with the reconstruction of the section between Ca’ dell’Orbo and Castenaso and the raising of the railway line to eliminate two level crossings. The rail service, already interrupted and self-replaced in the section from Bologna Centrale to Bologna Roveri, to allow the line to be buried in the urban area of Bologna, it will be further modified to carry out further interventions providing for the performance of the service with train between the stations of Portomaggiore and Budrio and the self-replacement from Budrio to Bologna.
The incentives are applied during the closure periods of the routes: for the Bologna-Portomaggiore line starting from December 2024 until the end of the works and for the Bologna-Prato line starting from June 2024 and until the completion of the work.
For the Bologna-Portomaggiore line the Tper Company will issue, starting from the start of the new works (approximately December 2024) and during the continuous closure period, subscriptions monthly and yearly, also under 27, already discounted by 10% of list price.
