The safety and security measures have been finalized by the Provincial Committee for Public Order
The second stage of the Tour de Francescheduled for June 30th.
For this reason, the prefect of the Romagna province, Castrese De Rosa, today chaired the meeting of the provincial committee for public order and safety during which the necessary safety and security measures were defined.
During the meeting, the actions necessary to guarantee the safety of the athletes and the public along the race route were verified. With reference to the level crossings present along the route, the operational module agreed with the Italian Railway Network on the occasion of the Giro d’Italia will be replicated.
Ample reassurances were provided by the municipalities on the measures put in place to protect the safety of cyclists and the public, as well as the use of volunteers at crucial points of the route.
The prefect of Ravenna asked the first citizens to establish COCs – Municipal Operations Centers – both in Ravenna and in Riolo Terme, for assistance to citizens residing in areas subject to mobility constraints due to the passage of the caravan and for any alerts from emergency fire brigade teams.
The details for theItalian Golf Open in Cervia (27-30 June), which includes the presence of 156 athletes from all over the world with an attendance of around 5000 spectators per day. For this event, special hospitality and commercial areas will be set up within the Adriatic Golf Club of Cervia and 300 volunteers will be employed within the area designated for the event.
Furthermore, healthcare and emergency assistance will be guaranteed by the Italian Red Cross staff with the setting up of an advanced medical post with ambulances and an operations center of the organization which will act as coordination. For the road system, a parking area with 1200 parking spaces has been identified, integrated with an adjacent parking area for campers.
«I asked the organizers – explained the prefect – that, given the concomitance of the last day of the Golf Open on 30 June with the stage of the Tour de France in Cervia, maximum dissemination of the services in place be guaranteed in order to ensure the smooth running of events.”
