Task accomplished. As promised during his electoral tour in Aversa, MP Pino Bicchielli has maintained his commitment to personally deal with the temporary closure of the Norman city’s employment centre. At the request of the Caserta coordinator of Noi Moderati, Angelo Lettera, of the list and of the city party, the regional leader presented a parliamentary question to the Minister of Labor and Social Policies Marina Elvira Calderone. The question was scheduled in recent days. Here is the text of Bicchielli’s request to the government member Giorgia Meloni: “To know, given that: the municipality of Aversa, in the province of Caserta, has 49,612 inhabitants and, according to the latest available personal data, there are 19,470 inhabitants aged work and over 4,000 unemployed; the regional council of the Campania region led by President De Luca has made the fight against unemployment a real battle, even going so far as to put up numerous posters aimed at protecting the work managed at the territorial offices, in order to guarantee concrete responses to the unemployed; in this spirit the opening of the Aversa employment center located in via Felice Pommella was endorsed, only to then order its closure on 19 April 2024 through a note signed by the regional manager Ciro Sorrentino; as stated in note no. PG/2024/ 0192810, the manager orders the immediate closure of the employment center and plans to move it, and all the employees, to the premises located in viale Carlo IlI in San Nicola la Strada, a town with over 15 km from Aversa; according to what has been reported, the reason for the move of the offices is to be attributed to the conditions of the building located in via Pommella; however, on 19 June 2023 the Aversa City Council, with resolution no. 37, granted the Campania region the use of the municipal property located in via de Chiara on a twenty-year loan for use, to be used as an employment centre, a property suitable for the region’s requests, but which has never received effective attention by the regional offices; the importance of having to guarantee a fundamental service for the citizens of Aversa, who cannot travel further than 15 kilometers or limit themselves to consulting a website, must be considered, whether the Minister questioned is aware of the situation and what initiatives, within his competence , intends to undertake so that the citizens of Aversa can once again enjoy the service of the employment centre”. As mentioned, during the Aversa municipal election campaign Noi Moderati organized a thematic meeting on the topic of the Employment Center with the participation of Bicchielli.
