Also yesterday evening, extraordinary services were carried out by the State Police aimed at combating drug dealing and widespread crime.
The patrols of the Flying Squad were supported by various crews of the Crime Prevention Department of Reggio Emilia as well as by a crew of the Commerce Unit of the Local Police, proceeding with various checkpoints along the main access arteries to the city, concentrating their attention above all on Via Trento, Via San Leonardo, Via Palermo. Particular attention was also paid to Parco Ducale and Parco Falcone e Borsellino where, thanks to the help of a team of anti-drug canines, a hashish-type narcotic substance with a total weight of approximately 85 grams was found, subsequently subjected to seizure
As part of the widespread control activity, the operators involved identified and subjected to controls 41 subjects and 19 vehicles.
During these checks, the staff of the Local Police Commerce Unit also proceeded to inspect some commercial establishments subject to recent reports, not imposing any administrative sanctions but reserving the right to carry out further investigations.
Also yesterday evening, staff from the Police Headquarters, at the end of the investigative activity conducted by the expulsion team of the Immigration Office, took steps to accompany the Tunisian drug dealer arrested by staff to the Gradisca D’Isonzo CPR, in view of his subsequent expulsion of the police officers on the previous day to whom, following the validation judgement, the measure of residence ban in Parma and in the province had been applied.
Today, staff from the Immigration Office of the Parma Police Headquarters accompanied a 28-year-old Albanian man to the Bologna border, who was confined in the Parma prison, in execution of a judicial expulsion order.
The foreigner was confined in the prison, where he was serving a two-year prison sentence for drug crimes committed in Salsomaggiore Terme. Upon completion of all the necessary formalities, in order to execute the expulsion order, he was accompanied by personnel from the Parma Police Headquarters to the “Marconi” air terminal in Bologna, from where he was repatriated to Albania by charter flight.
Over the last week there have been 3 accompaniments of criminal foreigners carried out by Police Headquarters personnel, following an investigation by Immigration Office personnel, demonstrating the constant commitment made by the State Police in combating illegal immigration and petty crime.
