ANZIO PREPARES FOR THE ROAR OF THE ENGINES
“Wheels for Life” will take place on Sunday 23 June in Anzio, a project that arises from the need to equip the area of the Lazio coast and the Agro Pontino with a garrison to allow newborns to be left in complete safety by mothers in difficulties in respecting their privacy.
The “Per Aspera ad Astra” Association accepted the proposal of the “Centro Aiuto alla Vita” of Anzio and received the collaboration for this project from the ASL Roma 6 and from the Riuniti Hospitals of Anzio and Nettuno which have already identified a suitable location for the location of the crib. Other associations in our area participate in the initiative, such as CANVE.S. Club Anzio Nettuno Veicoli Storici and the cultural association “Torre Civica” which promotes ideas and proposals useful for enhancing the territory.
In Italy, approximately 40 newborns are saved thanks to the modern “exposed wheels” present in various Italian regions. In Lazio there are 4 active stations (Civitavecchia, Rome, Cassino, Tarquinia) while some Italian regions are completely devoid of them.
The solidarity of the citizens of Anzio and Nettuno will make possible the creation of the “Cradle for Life”, a charitable initiative to support the community which reinforces the importance of investing in the territory through concrete actions.
“Wheels for Life” will be an unmissable event for motoring and history enthusiasts who will be able to admire up close a selection of cars dating back twenty years and beyond, true icons of the past that marked an era.
The event will be sponsored by the Local Police and the Municipality of Anzio.
