The activities of the Family Associations Forum resume in the province of Foggia, the social promotion association created to promote and safeguard the values and rights of the family and to give families back the right of active citizenship, as the first social subject to be promoted and not subject weak to assist. The Forum, established way back in 1992, at a national level, is present in every region of our country through regional and provincial delegations.
Specifically, the Forum of the province of Foggia was born in September 2007 at the end of a process that involved numerous family associations from the city and the province, which had a common need: to bring the family as a subject to the attention of the cultural and political debate social.
The new board of directors was elected a few days ago with Ugo Ferrantino as president, a historical presence of the association who has always been involved in the social sector, Maria Cristina Piemontese as vice-president and Valentina Dibisceglia as councilor.
“It resumes, operationally, our commitment in the area. A commitment that has never ended in reality, if I look back, in fact, we have made giant strides since our establishment, now 17 years ago. We are ready to start again with a series of activities and initiatives aimed at encouraging the creation of a network made up of associations that are committed to the social sector and on the other, to offer concrete services and operational support to all the families of the city and the province” , says President Ferrantino. “Today the Forum has 12 member associations, still few for a reality as large as ours. I am sure that our commitment will lead to many other registrations, who will cooperate alongside us for the good of our community.”
