The closed commercial establishments were identified in Taranto, Pulsano, Manduria, Sava, San Marzano di S. Giuseppe, Maruggio, Avetrana, Lizzano, Fragagnano, Grottaglie, Palagianello, Laterza and Ginosa.
The checks on the products on sale in commercial establishments concerned the presence of indications relating to the legal or product name of the product, the identity of the producer, the possible presence of substances capable of causing potential harm to the consumer as well as the materials used and the processing methods.
At the end of the checks and investigative investigations, the Fiamme Gialle reported the owners of the 36 retailers affected by the checks to the competent authorities.
