“Noisy children”, the neighbor complains: the kindergarten garden is closed

Quarrata (Pistoia), 21 June 2024 – A portion of asylum closed until “safety conditions are restored”. The story of the ban on children from a portion of the garden (a real educational jewel) at nursery school immediately became a case Munari Of Quarratabecause of noises and the cries of children who would disturb a family in the neighborhood. The “prohibited” part was delimited with tape because, according to what was communicated, risk profiles for young nursery school goers are not excluded.

Last Wednesday was the circular that the head teacher of the Bonaccorso comprehensive institute in Quarrata (of which the nursery school is part), Luca Gaggioli, sent to families, teachers and the mayor of Quarrata, where he informs about the “situation regarding the relationship of the Munari nursery school with a family domiciled on the border of the appurtenances on the east side of the school”. A Neighborin particular, who, we read in the circular, “in recent days, has shown even more impatient attitudes towards the noises coming from the school”, so much so that it was deemed appropriate to inform the interested parties that “any outdoor educational activity on the north and on the east side, in the area delimited with tape, will be prohibited until safety conditions are restored.”

In the circular The principal explains that “this family reports being disturbed by the noise coming from our school and believes that this noise prevents them from resting during the school’s opening hours from 8am to 4pm. reports there were also during the periods in which educational activities normally took place inside the classrooms (4 of which – two on the ground floor and two on the first floor – overlook the east side) and become even more significant in this period particularly suitable for carrying out activities in the school garden which is specifically equipped – even on the east side – to carry out outdoor educational activities”.

Disconcerted obviously the families of the children who attend the Munari school, who are organizing a delegation to obtain clarifications from the Gaggioli director. “Children have not been allowed to go to part of the garden for a couple of months now – say the mothers – children have the right to go to the garden, where important activities are also carried out”. For his part, the principal we consulted specified that access had previously been forbidden due to the massive presence of hornets, a problem that has now been resolved. “This measure is temporary, at most for this last week until the end of school – said Luca Gaggioli – in September everything will return as before, it is clear that access to the entire garden cannot be prevented. This is a contingent situation, it is a particular case, awaiting a solution which will be shortly, because it is obvious that in that time slot there cannot be absolute silence”.
