The nightmare of thefts returns to the residential neighborhoods of Perugia

Thieves strike again in the residential neighborhoods of Perugia, causing alarm among the residents of San Vetturino and Conca del Sole, the latter located in the municipality of Corciano. Reports of thefts and suspicious movements are increasing spreading quickly through local chats and social media, prompting residents to pay maximum attention. The Messaggero dell’Umbria reported the news in an article by Michele Milletti.

During the night between Wednesday and Thursday, several reports of suspicious activity arrived from Conca del Sole. These warnings follow those of a few days earlier from San Vetturino, where residents noticed disturbing presences and immediately also alerted the surrounding areas of San Fortunato of the Hill and Prepo.

Summer is a particularly vulnerable period for home burglaries. During the summer, the extended absence of owners for holidays or outdoor activities offers thieves an ideal opportunity. Single homes and villas, common in these areas, become privileged targets for criminals.

The situation has pushed residents not to limit themselves to reporting on social media, but also to contact the police directly for active collaboration in the surveillance and security of the neighborhood.

At the same time, another wave of thefts is affecting parked cars in other areas residential of Perugia. Case Bruciate is particularly affected, perhaps due to its proximity to the station, an area known for the presence of individuals ready to vandalize vehicles and shops to steal any valuables.

The latest incident reported concerns a car a Burnt houses with the window shattered and damage caused to steal a backpack left inside. Residents report “thugs” from the Fontivegge station area carrying out these acts of vandalism, causing more damage than actual theft of valuables.
