The Bersaglieri Association was officially born in Pordenone

The group of volunteers has been collaborating with the health authority, the Red Cross and various municipal administrations for some time

“The story of Pordenone it is profoundly linked to the presence of the Armed Forces and the role they have had in the development and economic and social growth of the city and the entire provincial territory. Inside this story, the Bersaglieri have a special place also due to the great affection that the city has towards the feathered infantry. The establishment of the Bersaglieri volunteer organization of the Province of Pordenone it is only the formalization of what the Bersaglieri have always done even when they stop wearing the uniform: put yourself generously at the service of the city with a great spirit of commitment and collaboration. For this, we all must be truly grateful to them“.

The regional councilor for Infrastructure and Territory said this yesterday afternoon, Cristina Amiranteparticipating, in Pordenoneat the official presentation of the Bersaglieri volunteer organization of the Province of Pordenone.

The Association had been creating for some time now an operational group of volunteers which collaborates, on various fronts, with the Western Friuli Health Authority, with the Red Cross and with various municipal administrations in support of the local police.

Feathered infantry: spirit of sacrifice, altruism and availability

“Commitment and dedication”, continued Amirante, in 2017 the first woman to parade at the head of the Bersaglieri on the occasion of the national gathering in the year of the centenary of the end of the Great War, “provided by the volunteers of the Bersaglieri Association in this area have never failed. And they have always been driven by those profound values ​​– founded on spirit of sacrifice, altruism and availability – which the volunteers continue to bear witness to and share in society and also spread among the younger generations”.
