POZZILLI. Tuesday 25 June 2024, at 11amat theMarc Verstraete Auditorium of the Irccs Technology Park Neuromed of Pozzillia seminar will be held by the professor and senator for life Elena Cattaneoone of the most prominent figures in the Italian and international scientific panorama.
Professor Cattaneo, professor at the University of Milan and director of the Laboratory of Stem Cell Biology and Pharmacology of Neurodegenerative Diseases, will hold a conference entitled “Science: method, responsibility and public role”. This seminar represents a unique opportunity to delve deeper into crucial issues such as the importance of the scientific method, the ethical responsibility of research and the role that scientists must play in contemporary society.
Elena Cattaneo is known globally for her studies on Huntington’s disease. With over 200 published scientific articles, she is an internationally recognized authority. Appointed Senator for Life by President Giorgio Napolitano in 2013, she is only the third woman to have received this honor, following in the footsteps of Camilla Ravera and Rita Levi-Montalcini.
