The identity of the man who on Wednesday, shortly after 6.20pm, was the victim of a road accident in Viale Europa, hit by a car while riding his bike across a pedestrian crossing near the roundabout, is shrouded in mystery. at the intersection with via Tre Venezie. The victim is a man who is believed to be between 50 and 60 years old, with graying hair and a thin build.
All the external staff of the Treviso local police command, as ordered by Commander Andrea Gallo, have been employed since the early morning of today, 20 June, to visit the districts of San Liberale and Monigo to show the photogram that was downloaded from the city video surveillance system; GPs, parish priests, owners of public businesses in the area and pharmacies were also consulted and sensitized in an attempt to give this person an identity. It cannot be ruled out that the victim of the accident may live alone and outside the city, in a neighboring town.
On the investigation front, no particular new developments emerged compared to those crystallized by the agents of the accident unit of the local police command: both vehicles were seized, a black Fiat Tipo and the victim’s bike, and the mobile phone used by the motorist. The 71-year-old behind the wheel, manager of the Tarvisium rugby club, has been included in the register of suspects for road homicide. The investigation file also contains a video from the municipal cameras immortalizing the scene of the accident and some witnesses.
