(PRIMAPRESS) – ARONA (NOVARA) – Municipal elections always reserve some surprises for the creation of proxies which end up being the signal of the new council’s policies in the territory. In the past, the “Truffle” department and the “Beauty” department in the Marche region or the “Animal Welfare” department in Rome or the “Urban Decoration” department had aroused interest, which should be taken for granted but is not always the case. Now what is intriguing is the new delegation assigned by the new mayor of Arona, Alberto Gusmeroli, former deputy mayor of the Novara town and Deputy of the League with the role of President of the Productive Activities, Commerce and Tourism Commission of the Chamber. In fact, the delegation “Education and knowledge, Public Space and Common Good, Attention to Persons Missing in Life” has occupied the local media in recent days. And it is precisely this last part that has created not only the interest of the citizens of Arona but also of the mayors of the municipalities who have already taken office after the recent elections. The delegation was assigned to Monica D’alessandro with a curriculum in Educational and Training Sciences but the question is what will the councilor responsible for identifying support paths for citizens who have had people pass away while alive do? Mayor Gusmeroli explains: “When a person – missing from life – leaves relatives in sadness and despondency, who also find themselves having to deal with bureaucratic procedures and dry activities that often aggravate the sense of sadness of a terrible moment in life. We want to simplify, reduce bureaucracy and humanize the procedures that must be carried out in the first hours or days. Improve cemetery regulations and everything that revolves around mourning for a family member. But not only that – continues the mayor – in the medium term and with the help of our social services, we also intend to provide psychological help which in some cases cannot be afforded”.
“The Community – continues Gusmeroli – in a difficult moment for the citizen must make its closeness felt also in these ways. We will also have a meeting shortly with those who manage the cemetery services under contract, because over the years we have done a lot of work at the various cemeteries and if there is something we still need to fix or improve, we want to invest in it. Investing is possible and necessary, in physical public works but also in the growth of values and attention, which is the most important growth in a community”. – (PRIMAPRESS)
