A new training course from APRI Asti: “Only by knowing where you are you can decide where you want to go”

A short series of meetings open to citizens to acquire greater skills in the field of independent travel for visually impaired and blind people and accompanying techniques. They are organized by the APRI Asti association.

“This training proposal is the result of a need identified during the work of the RASI group, the self-help group of the association which met for 10 months. The people in the group have chosen to share the training contents, also bringing their own daily experiences into play” – says Renata Sorba, president of Apri Asti.

The course, dedicated to members, family members, volunteers and supporters of the association but also to those who work in the world of disabilities, will take place at the association’s headquarters in Via Prandone n.8 in two appointments:
• Monday 1st July from 3.30pm to 5.30pm
• Saturday 13 July from 9.30 to 11.30

With Barbara Venturello, private and corporate social worker and Renata Sorba, president of Apri Asti, we will think about some key words such as awareness, request for help, autonomy, ability, possibilities, barriers and facilitations and we will be able to immerse ourselves in an interactive training in which there will be no lack of self-irony and concreteness.

The course is free and a certificate of participation is provided for those who manage to be present at both sessions.
Registrations must be received no later than Thursday 27 June 2024. Info: [email protected]
