Maximum commitment for Villa Rosina in Trapani

The Hon. Giuseppe Bica, regional deputy of the Fratelli d’Italia at the ARS, participated yesterday in the hearing in the EU Commission of Dr. Vincenzo Falgares, general manager of the regional programming department, on the agreement for the Development and Cohesion Fund (FSC) 2021-2027 between the national and regional governments. “This is a historic opportunity for Sicily, with investments that must be completed by 12/31/2031. As many as 259 interventions are planned in 391 Sicilian municipalities: the real challenge will be the administrations’ ability to quickly implement the executive plans and launch tenders“, says Bica.

The Sicilian Region is preparing advance payments to support the planning costs of the Municipalities. Furthermore, local authorities will be able to access the revolving fund of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, an instrument which, once financing is completed, will have an almost zero cost for the Municipalities themselves“, declares the deputy of Fratelli d’Italia.

During the audition, I asked a specific question about Villa Rosina in Trapani. Dr. Falgares explained that, for technical reasons, the financing could not be allocated directly, but will fall within the urban redevelopment action line, endowed with 100 million euros. In this context, the regional government confirms its maximum commitment to giving priority to Villa Rosina“, explains Bica.

I therefore invite the Municipality of Trapani to be ready, preparing a unitary project that unites the two parts of Villa Rosina. As soon as the Court of Auditors has approved the expenditure, the procedures will be able to start to fully finance the Villa Rosina project, with the aim of completing the works by 2027“, concludes the Honorable Member.
