Fifteen Molfetta – “A bishop as a friend”, presentation of Dr.’s book tomorrow in Bisceglie. Cives doctor of Don Tonino Bello

BISCEGLIE – Tomorrow, Friday 21 June, at 7.45 pm, in Piazza San Francesco in Bisceglie, as part of the “Libri Nel Borgo Antico – A year of stories” exhibition, a conversation will be held on the book “Tonino Bello: A Bishop for a Friend” by Domenico Cives. This event will be an opportunity to remember not only the teachings of Antonio Bello, but also those of Domenico Cives, friend and doctor of the Venerable, who assisted him until his last moments of life. Starting from the pages of the biography in which Domenico Cives reconstructed the life of Don Tonino Bello, highlighting his humanity and spirituality, the conversation will offer the opportunity to relive the message of charity of the Venerable Bello. It will also be a moment to remember Cives’ generosity and commitment, both as a doctor and as a politician, towards the many generations of a community that remembers him as a “witness of humanity”. During the meeting, moderated by the journalist Lucia Ascione, the following will speak: Mirella Cives (daughter of the author of the book), Mimmo Casillo (entrepreneur and friend of Dr. Cives), Stefano Bello (Don Tonino’s nephew and vice-president of the “Don Tonino” Foundation Bello”), Giancarlo Piccinni (president of the “Don Tonino Bello” Foundation), Mons. Giovanni Ricchiuti (president Pax Christi) and Mons. Domenico Cornacchia (Bishop of the Diocese of Molfetta-Ruvo-Terlizzi). The initiative is organized in collaboration with the Circolo Unione and the Rotary Club of Bisceglie.
