Art Night in Venice: on Saturday 22nd the Seminar opens the cloister to visits with its “Stone Stories”

On the occasion of the 13th edition of “Art night”, scheduled for Saturday 22 June, the Patriarchal Seminary will open the cloister of the palace to the public, offering a guided tour for groups of up to 25 people (entrance from the Health field).

There are three shifts to choose from, for a total duration of 45 minutes: the first at 8pm, then continuing with the one at 8.45pm and 9.30pm. The guides of the “Semina Artis” association will lead visitors to discover some characters, whose memory has been entrusted to the inscriptions and sculptures preserved in the cloister of the building designed around 1670 by Baldassarre Longhena. “Stories of stone” is the title of the event, which is part of what is now defined as the “night of art”, an initiative conceived and coordinated by Ca’ Foscari in collaboration with the Municipality and with the patronage of the Region, which will offer culture enthusiasts of all ages a unique opportunity to visit and have fun.
The 2024 edition will underline the dialogue between East and West in the name of Marco Polo, in the year in which the 700th anniversary of his death occurs. The start of “Art night” is traditionally set at 6pm in the courtyard of the headquarters of Ca’ Foscari University, where the official gadgets of the event will also be distributed free of charge.
