PERUGIA – A six meter flight and a lot of luck. Because the bins in the shop next door literally saved her. In fact, the life of the two-year-old girl who yesterday late in the morning fell from the window of a house in Mugnano, where her family appears to have recently moved, in the attic of a low building near the school, would not be in danger. . The little girl, for reasons yet to be ascertained, probably when her relatives were distracted, managed to reach the small window, from which she leaned out and fell. Luckily not on the asphalt: her flight was cushioned by some recycling bins belonging to the business that overlooks the road, in the middle of the town.

Where everyone, in that central street, noticed what had happened. The call to the single emergency number was immediate and the help arrived, with the flying squad agents directed by Monica Corneli immediately on site. The policemen rescued the little girl, amidst the cries and apprehension of her relatives, and called 118. The medics arrived directly with the air ambulance, so as to reach the Santa Maria della Misericordia hospital even sooner. It was impossible for the helicopter to land in the middle of the houses, in a narrow street between the houses, all low and close together, so the little girl was harnessed by the rescue personnel and thus made to climb, winched, inside the vehicle. A quick flight to the hospital and from there the red code passage to the pediatric emergency room, where the doctors found fractures in the upper limbs. It seems, therefore, from what we learn, no more serious injury, but the little girl was obviously admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit, but it seems only out of utmost care given her age: to evaluate her conditions and above all to avoid any further consequences of his fall.

Meanwhile, the staff of the provincial cabinet of the scientific police and the mobile team (directed by Maria Assunta Ghizzoni) also intervened on the site, busy listening to the witnesses and carrying out the investigations. Because we need to understand how the little girl, it seems like after a bath, arrived at that window alone. How did you find yourself poised on the parapet of that opening on the highest floor of the building. With the Perugia prosecutor’s office working to reconstruct the dynamics of what currently appears to be an accidental event. In short, an accident that could have consequences for the little girl’s family, even if at present a charge for abandonment of a minor does not seem conceivable due to any lack of supervision. Although it is clear that now her family only has the sole thought of staying close to her little girl and bringing her back home soon to health.
