White balloons flew into the sky, with a dedication from his school friends. The way in which the little pupils of the primary school of the IC Silone of Montesilvano yesterday afternoon greeted their companion was touching: balloons to reach her where she flew with her mother last Thursday, hit by a train at the Montesilvano station. In the Il Giardino della Luce funeral home of the Di Giorgio funeral home, in Marina di Città Sant’Angelo, there was not enough space to contain the hundreds of people who wanted to gather around the family of DC, husband and father of the young woman and girl. The secular function was broadcast outside by audio-video speakers. Next to the two coffins, also the students of the karate school, all wearing kimonos, which the little girl attended. The secular function opened with a long speech by Luciano D’Alonzo, DC’s best friend: «It’s nice to see how everyone responded with their sensitivity to this tragedy. A demonstration of love, and love can be seen precisely on these occasions. Also linked to love is the empathy of those who have felt the pain of others in their own hearts.” Mayor Ottavio De Martinis also addressed words of closeness to the family: «The drama of one person is the drama of everyone – he said -. As mayor I appeal to stay close to the family, we will do so.” Then, the words of teacher Francesca addressed to the white coffin of her little pupil were touching: «We brought you this box full of gifts that you loved so much to receive. We will always remember your beautiful eyes, your hugs and the little jobs you gave us to express your love.”
