VENICE – Salaries, how much you earn in Veneto: women earn 30 percent less than men. This is what emerges from the Ires (Institute of Economic and Social Research) report on the labor market in Veneto, presented today, Wednesday 19 June, at the CGIL press conference. The first fact to attract attention is the notable difference in pay between men and women.

As the dossier reports, in 2022 a gender disparity in average annual pay of 29% was recorded. This figure is influenced by the fact that the majority of part-time contracts are held by women. With the same full-time contract, there is still a difference of 16%, equal to approximately 5,500 euros per year.
