Sunday 23 May final evening of the 7th edition of the regional dialect theater review “Teatro a San Pio” which is held in the space inside the San Pio Parish by the Compagnia Nuovo Teatro di Mesagne directed by Cosimo Guarini.
And it is precisely the host New Theater Company that will close the Festival with one of its most brilliant comedies entitled “Arezzo 29… fast taxi driver” by Gaetano Di Maio in the dialect adaptation by Cosimo Guarini himself.
It is the story of Salvatore who returns home holding a swaddled baby in his arms, abandoned in his taxi, initially opposed by his wife who slowly, however, feels affection for that creature also because despite “…prayers, vows, candles and light bulbs ” Our Lady never granted her the joy of pregnancy.
From this premise arises a series of comical situations that will not fail to entertain the audience and will give the opportunity to reflect on a phenomenon that is still present today: the abandonment of minors.
