“Arezzo in Arezzo” was presented this morning, the project of the Brazilian fashion house that bears the name of the city, leader and reference of excellence in the women’s footwear sector. An event anticipated a few weeks ago on the occasion of the visit of the mayor Alessandro Ghinelli to the Sao Paulo headquarters of the brand and the meeting with the founder Anderson Birman and the current CEO Alexandre Birman. With them Giovanni Cappietti, who with his own studio Cappietti & Partners collaborated on the design and implementation of the project. An exhibition that starting from next June 21st will be hosted at the Municipal Gallery of Contemporary Art in Piazza San Francesco and which intends to pay homage to the city whose name was chosen as a trademark by Anderson Birman 52 years ago. Arezzo was selected on the map of Italy for the double consonant “Z” which was fascinating in its pronunciation in Portuguese and has accompanied the success of the company from that moment on. Through an immersive journey that tells of Arezzo and the South American brand, “Arezzo in Arezzo” aims to be a connection between Brazil and the city symbolically connected by the imaginary route of a train: a recognition that Anderson Birman strongly desired, having had the opportunity over the years to appreciate the city he fell in love with not only for its name but also for its beauties. Also part of the project is an important communication campaign aimed at making the city of Arezzo known throughout Brazil, as well as the involvement of the 450 Arezzo brand stores in the South American country and the various media channels, including the company’s social networks, which they boast over 6 million followers, as well as the main Brazilian influencers in fashion. Not only that, as part of the project the company has created a complete line of leather products, footwear, bags and accessories, called “Arezzo in Arezzo” which is inspired by the historical and cultural symbols of the city, currently on sale in all stores Brazilians of the brand. Some of these products will also be sold in a corner inside the exhibition in the Gallery and the proceeds will be donated to a charity project in the city.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on June 21st at 5pm in the presence of the founder of Arezzo Anderson Birman, his son Alexandre Birman, current CEO of the company, the top management, including Luciana Wodzik, CEO of the Footwear Business Unit, Danielly Bilieiro general director of the “Arezzo” brand and prominent personalities in the world of fashion communication such as Silvia Braz. The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Arezzo.
