An appeal from the city of Guido Dorso against the differentiated autonomy just approved in Parliament by the majority forces, an appeal to the citizens of Avellino so that on Sunday and Monday, by rewarding the centre-left and Antonio Gengaro in the run-off round of the administrative elections of the capital, they can give a clear also signal in defense of the betrayed South. This is the meaning of the document promoted by Generoso Picone which sees among the first signatories many highly authoritative references from the cultural and academic panorama of the city.

The forces in Parliament that approved the bill on differentiated autonomy and are about to launch the reform of the premiership – two measures that split Italy, mortify the South and restrict democratic freedoms – are the same ones that in Avellino formed a paradoxical program agreement in support of mayoral candidate Laura Nargi. Now the positions on the field are clear. This is the centre-right, to which the League of Matteo Salvini and Roberto Calderoli has been added, which will face the mayoral candidate Antonio Gengaro in the run-off, an expression and symbol of the centre-left coalition.
The city of Avellino, the city of Guido Dorso, cannot bear this outrage. By supporting Antonio Gengaro and the center-left forces that accompany him, he can respond to the attempt to degrade the South and Italy.
For these reasons we ask that the community vote for Antonio Gengaro as mayor. To react to those who want to divide the country and push the South backwards. To respond with a civil gesture even before a political one in the name of dignity and constitutional values in danger today.
