Caserta. “I understand the tension and difficulties that Mayor Carlo Marino is experiencing due to the judicial earthquake that has involved his council and part of the administration, but this does not authorize him to rant during the delicate city council meeting on the approval of the final budget 2023, against the municipal councilor Paolo Santonastaso of Fratelli d’Italia, the first party of the nation, with epithets “fascist and gallows”.
All this because our good administrator has highlighted that the administration is evidently experiencing a political problem given that the mayor himself has declared that he would like to eliminate the delegations.
I invite Mayor Marino who is also president of Anci Campania to moderate the terms and apologize not only to councilor Santonastaso, regional representative of Anci youth, but also to the City of Caserta for the unworthy spectacle he provided. If he is not able to keep calm, waiting for the judiciary to take its course, I highly recommend starting to think about his future which is different from that of being Mayor.
And I invite our councilors Paolo Santonastaso and Pasquale Napolitano, to whom I express total solidarity for the tense climate in which they are working, to continue moving forward for the good of the City we love so much.” – This was stated by the Hon.
