MODIFICATION – The police station of Public Safety Modica in the past week has intensified controls in the area with a view to prevention of predatory crimesmaking use of specialized personnel energy sector for aspects of competence.
Two young people arrested in Modica
Precisely in this context, following a targeted control, the policemen have arrested in flagrante delicto una couple of young residents in Modica Alta for theft of electricity and damage to two meters owned by ENEL.
The couple, who had the availability of two apartments belonging to only property with entrances separatedtampering with the meter of their home, were managed to connect to a second meterin turn altered, by which they were unduly drawing electricity for domestic use, although the two had been inactive for a long time.
The tampering does not escape the police
This tampering did not escape the attention of the Police Officers and thanks to the intervention of specialized personnel, who have noted there undue disbursement of the electric current as well as the damage to the two meters installed, the two meters, dangerous due to the risk of fire, were removed.
Under house arrest
The two young people, a 31 year old and his 27 year old partner – who have precedents for property crimes (in particular the young man was reported by the agents less than two months ago for a theft against a tobacco bar in Modica), they were arrested flagrantly and placed under house arrest available to the Judicial Authority.
