Anyone who has followed my activity in the City Council knows that I immediately fought to put the Perugia Hub back at the center of the political debate. I succeeded and the Node was the most discussed topic of this electoral campaign. I believe it is an essential work for the health, well-being, road safety and quality of life of all people in Perugia and beyond. Almost every day thousands of Perugians remain bottled up in tunnels or due to an accident in the Collestrada bend. Every day thousands of residents of Collestrada, Ponte San Giovanni and Balanzano are oppressed by noise and smog, so much so that they cannot open the windows of their homes. For me, the well-being and safety of citizens come first. For this reason, my choice on the ballot will be a choice consistent with my political history. I will vote for Margherita Scoccia because she has openly declared that she is in favor of the Perugia Node. On the other side there are political forces that will block everything. As a person who often passes through Ponte San Giovanni, I think more about the quality of the air I breathe, the danger I run every time there is a slowdown in the tunnel and the time I waste in queues compared to the “mosses and lichens” placed at the front posed by some environmentalist regardless, who does not appreciate that the primary good is always human life. For me, people, their well-being and their health are in the foreground. When you are in the voting booth, remember the accidents you have seen and the time you have wasted in line even due to a banal rear-end collision. Health and time are the most important goods we have, which is why I will vote – together with many other friends with whom I have spoken and who have the same priorities as us – for the candidate who wants the Perugia Node: Margherita Scoccia.
