First day in City Hall for the newly elected mayor Massimo Zedda, officially proclaimed only on Monday after the clear victory at the polls. The mayor dedicated a post on social media to his “new beginning”.
“In a joint meeting with the managers I shared the first interventions and works to be done in the city” announces Zedda. “I examined the budget: 35 million free surplus, unfortunately not usefully used by the 2023 deadline for social policies, education and culture, can now be used only for public works. We will make good use of it.”
“The electoral recount is finished, probably on June 28, the new municipal council can be proclaimed, characterized not only by a high level of skills, this time, also by a large number of women who coherently reflects, quantitatively and qualitatively, our community. From this evening I have started consultations with the parties and civic lists to appoint the new council as soon as possible”.
And he concludes: “The expectations are very high, our maximum and constant commitment for the good of the city and the metropolitan context, in a path of development and growth for our towns, citizens and for the collective well-being of our splendid land”.
