30-year-old arrested for possession for the purpose of dealing drugs, after officers found hashish, scales and other incriminating material in a Bed & Breakfast in the historic center

This morning, the agents of the flying squad of the General Prevention and Public Relief Office of the Crotone Police Headquarters arrested a 30-year-old citizen from Crotone, accused of possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances. The intervention took place in a Bed & Breakfast located in the heart of the historic city centre, after the presence of an intense smell of hashish coming from one of the rooms was reported.

The police identified the suspect, found inside the room in question, then proceeded with a detailed search. During the search, 8 wrappers containing a total of 60 grams of hashish, an electronic scale, various material for packaging the doses and a knife still contaminated by the narcotic substance were discovered and seized.

Subsequently, a second search was conducted at the subject’s home, where a further scale and another knife were found, both contaminated with the same narcotic substance found in the B&B, as well as a 9 caliber cartridge. All the objects found were subjected to criminal seizure.

The thirty-year-old was immediately arrested on charges of possession for the purpose of dealing drugs and reported for illegal possession of ammunition. He is currently at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Crotone Court for further developments in the investigation.

This operation is part of the law enforcement efforts to combat illegal drug trafficking in the city area, contributing to the safety and legality of the local community.
