Between history, nature and flavours, the “Passatelli Bike” of Cesena completed an epic mountain bike journey: pedaling along the entire Tiber, in 4 days from the sources of Monte Fumaiolo to the mouth of the Tyrrhenian Sea in Fiumicino. An itinerary of over 400 kilometers in a four-day journey through history, culture, nature and gastronomy: cycling on country roads, embankments, paths and cycle paths, eight of them crossed four regions: Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio .

«A route that is not always easy – explain the protagonists – with over 4,000 meters of altitude difference». A road which, however, gave them unforgettable emotions and a new head suffix to be combined with the first name “between Manzonian and ancient Roman Latinorum”

Walter “Valterinus” Candoli, Valter “Aetermus” Facciani, Salvatore “Biliardus” Iacone, Raffaele “Rotarius” Alessandri, Luca “Explotstor e Centurione” Santolini, Fabrizio “Domumductor” Caporali, Raffaele “Algorithmus” Cappelli and Marco “Fulmenius” Manuzzi have seen cities of art such as Sansepolcro, Perugia and Todi, picturesque villages such as Amelia, Orte and Calcata, to then dive into the magic of Rome, the Eternal City, visited at dawn in a surreal atmosphere, before it awakened from its torpor night and the streets were filled with tourists. A succession of breathtaking landscapes, historical testimonies of past eras, meetings with people and the discovery of authentic flavours. «The bicycle is the ideal means of transport for this type of trip – say the participants – It allows you to completely immerse yourself in the area, to savor every detail without rushing. And then… The effort of pedaling makes the stops in the villages, the wonderful views, the typical dishes we taste even more appreciable.”

In addition to fun and adventure, this trip was an opportunity for personal growth and cultural enrichment. «Cycling along a river as important as the Tiber means retracing the history of Italy. We explored places that tell of our past, lived fantastic experiences and learned to appreciate the simplicity of life. We also trained ourselves to overcome our limits, to trust our traveling companions and to discover the hidden beauty of the roads less travelled. And all this while we had fun like children, with hearts full of joy.” A unique experience that demonstrates how cycling is not just a sport or a means of transport, but a real lifestyle. A sustainable and environmentally friendly way of travelling, which allows you to discover the world with new eyes and return home with a wealth of memories and emotions to cherish forever. The “Passatelli Bike” feat is an example for all those who love cycling and want to live an unforgettable travel experience. An invitation to get on the saddle and set off to discover what surrounds us, with an open heart and a curious spirit.
