From next July 1st, 13 police officers in the role of agents/assistants will arrive in Terni and its province and will fill part of the gaps created by the continuous retirements among State Police personnel in the province of Terni.

The news was given by the provincial secretary of the Police Union Federation Vittorio Mari.

“We are moderately satisfied, states the secretary of one of the most representative trade union organizations among Terni policemen, after all the efforts that the FSP has made in recent months by meeting political representatives and administrators, as well as taking to the streets and involving citizens, whose signatures in support of our request for the assignment of new policemen have arrived on the table of the Chief of Police, a signal has arrived from the Ministry of the Interior that goes in the direction we hope for.

However, we remember, Mari continues, that to fill the void created in the staff of the Police Headquarters, in the Orvieto Police Station, in the Cyber Security Police (formerly Postal Police), in the Traffic Police and in the Railway Police of Terni and Orvieto due to the numerous retirements and transfers that have occurred recently, at least 60 people were needed.

Compared to the previous assignments in October when no policeman was sent to Terni, the next transfer of 13 people is a sign of attention that makes us say that we are on the right path, but all this is not enough and now we are waiting for the Ministry of the Interior implement a “Pact for safe Terni” as has already been done for Perugia.

In light of this situation and in view of further retirements among the policemen of Terni and the province, the Police Union Federation, concludes Vittorio Mari, will continue with determination in its activity and will leave no stone unturned, continuing to interface with the political class and with the institutions, to obtain more security in this city and throughout the province”.
