Perugia returns to the polls for the second round of the local elections. On Sunday 23 and Monday 24 June 2024, the citizens of the Umbrian capital are called to express their opinion in the ballot that will decide the new mayor. The challenge is between Vittoria Ferdinandi (broad centre-left) and Margherita Scoccia (centre-right). Polling stations will be open from 7am to 11pm on Sunday 23 June and from 7am to 3pm on Monday 24 June. The counting of ballots will begin immediately after the polls close (ALL ADMINISTRATIVE RESULTS).
How it went in Perugia in the first round
In the first round of the municipal elections on 8 and 9 June Vittoria Ferdinandi, nominated Knight of Merit of the Republic in 2021, obtained 49.01% with the support of the lists Pd, M5s, Alleanza Verdi Sinistra, Pensa Perugia (with the symbols of Action, Socialists for Perugia, Perugia in Europe and Civic Laboratory) and from the civic lists Orchestra for Victory, Anima Perugia and Perugia for public health. Behind her Margherita Scoccia (FdI), architect and current councilor for urban planning with 48.29%. Supporting her are Fratelli d’Italia, Lega, Forza Italia, Fare Perugia, Perugia Civica, Progetto Perugia, Futuro Giovani, Perugia Amica and Udc. Also in the running were Massimo Monni, who reached 1.4%, Davide Baiocco who stopped at 0.76% and Leonardo Caponi who obtained 0.54%.
