The San Giovanni Fair returns from Friday to Monday, now in its 152nd edition. Friday at 7pm in the historic center (meeting in Viale Marconi) the inaugural parade, with the rant by the Marquis and his Fattore. This is followed by the Balsamic Night, with events and music. Sunday 23 June at 11am at the Il Faro space, in viale Marconi 4, inauguration of the exhibition “Modena Puppets and Puppeteers – The Preti Fund 30 years after the death of Roberto, the last representative of the historic art family”. Opening hours: Sunday 23 June 11am – 12.30pm | 18 – 23; Monday 24 June 6pm – 11pm. Also on Sunday at 8pm the 58th Palio di San Giovanni in Piazzale Rangoni. Monday 24 June, the day of the Patron Saint, mass at 10am in the church of San Giovanni Battista and closing of the fair with the fireworks display at 11.15pm. This year too there are many reasons to visit the event. In the Rocca Rangoni park, the exhibition and sale of typical excellent local products, street food and art are planned. The associations return to Piazza Caduti Libertà with food stands, relaxation areas, traveling shows and much more. Piazza Sassatelli will also be transformed for the San Giovann Fair, with street food curated by local merchants, music and entertainment. An important presence will also be that of Slow Food – Condotta di Vignola, for the usual opening of the dedicated restaurant in the roof garden of the Rocca. The space dedicated to animal welfare returns to the Rocca Rangoni Park.
