Paolo Mieli and Selvaggia Lucarelli in Modica

Modica – Paolo Mieli and Selvaggia Lucarelli, in June and July respectively, will be in Modica for Scenari 2024, the third edition of the exhibition signed by Mondadori Bookstore Modica – with the artistic direction of his mentor Piera Ficili – and by Fondazione Teatro Garibaldi. Scenari will open its doors on June 24th with Alessandro Baricco and will end on July 28th with Luca Bizzarri. The presentation was held yesterday, 17 June, at the Mutika headquarters in Corso Francesco Crispi in Modica. Doing the honors will be the class and elegance of Stefano Giaquinta, CEO of Mutika EMC presenting sponsor of the event which will feature 19 writers in 16 evenings in the most beautiful ‘scenarios’ of Modica.

Stefano Giaquinta opened the press conference, explaining why his organization chose to support an all-Modica project, reiterating Mutika’s strong and constant commitment to the City and the extraordinary potential that Modica shows and that Mutika supports and pushes, enhancing its peculiarities . Here are some events from Scenari 2024

On Monday 24 June at 7.30pm Alessandro Baricco will be in conversation about his latest novel Abel (Feltrinelli) with Mattia Insolia on the splendid San Giorgio staircase. A Rizzoli weekend will then follow: on Friday 28 June at 9pm Paolo Mieli will analyze The Authoritarian Century on the steps of St. Peter’s together with the journalist Enzo Scarso, on Saturday 29 June Valentina Romani will be with her debut book Guarda che è vero at 7pm: 00 in the municipal atrium in the meeting moderated by the journalist Chiara Scucces and on Sunday 30 June again at 9.00 pm with Giovanni Grasso in the courtyard of the former Carmine convent to talk about an impossible relationship with the novel Nobody Sees Love, meeting moderated by journalist Saro Distefano. Among the July events also the splendid Selvaggia Lucarelli who will talk about her book “Il vaso di Pandoro” on July 19th at 9 pm in the steps of San Giovanni in Modica Alta.
