STATUS LIVE, Episode III
On 17 June 2024, the third episode of the television show “Live Status“, a program dedicated to current issues of great social relevance. The episode saw the participation of guests from different fields, united by the common objective of promoting dialogue, reflection and concrete action on crucial issues for contemporary society.
The “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement
The evening was opened by Prof. Brunella Magno and Annarita Attanasio, both representatives of the Coordination “Woman, Life, Freedom”. This movement, born spontaneously in October 2022, is an important voice of support for the Iranian uprising, which has seen women at the forefront of the fight against violence and for freedom. The two guests shared with the public the actions undertaken by the movement to combat violence against women, promote the symbolic feminine and enhance the culture of differences and inclusion. They also underlined the importance of celebrating women with a sense of sacredness, transforming the festival into an occasion of true value.
Lido and Businesses: tourism as a vector for recovery
The broadcast continued with the intervention of Dr. Dario Melillo, entrepreneur and representative of the “Ultima SPIAGGIA” bathing establishment in Siponto, Manfredonia. We discussed the challenges and opportunities related to the management of seaside facilities in a region that relies on tourism as a key element for economic recovery. The testimony highlighted the hard work and commitment needed to offer quality services to tourists, thus contributing to local development.
A painful memory and the search for justice
A particularly touching moment of the evening was the speech by Michele Cianinephew of Franca Marasco, the owner of the tobacco shop in via Marchese De Rosa, stabbed in the late morning of 28 August 2023. Michele emotionally recounted the drama experienced by his family and updated the public on the legal events involving the alleged culprits : Vittorino Checchiarecently died in hospital, e Redouane Moslli, the self-confessed Moroccan laborer. His testimony raised reflections on safety and justice in our communities.
The third episode of “Stato in Diretta” represented an important moment of discussion on highly topical issues with social impact. The guests offered the public not only direct testimonies, but also profound reflections and concrete proposals to improve our society. The broadcast confirmed its role as a platform for dialogue and the promotion of fundamental values such as justice, inclusion and respect for differences.
