Ceremonies that take place daily at Palazzo di Cittàand leave unpleasant consequences such as the scattering of confetti and highly polluting plastic materials inside and outside the main entrance of Palazzo di Città, which is too often transformed into a set of improvised parties with banquets, toasts and anything else that could easily be organized privately , not in a public space frequented by employees and citizens.
The Environment Councilor and Deputy Mayor of Foggia, Lucia Aprile, says this in a note.
“There is an absolute ban on all these events which go far beyond even shareable moments of joy, and involve the use of resources and personnel that could and should be used elsewhere. And we intend to enforce it by applying the sanctions provided for by law for violators. The department will soon make the forms for planting new trees available at the offices in charge: an alternative that we intend to offer to newlyweds and their families to remember such an important day, respecting their city and the rules of civil coexistence”.
