The parliamentary question announced by the vice president of Noi Moderati in the Chamber of Deputies, the Honorable Pino Bicchielli, was filed this morning to shed light, once again, on the economic and financial disaster of the Municipality of Salerno and on the situation of the Pharmaceutical Consortium. In his question, the Honorable Bicchielli addresses the Minister of Economy and Finance and the Minister of the Interior to ask them «how they intend to act, within the competence of their ministries, in order to protect the citizens of the Municipality of Salerno and shed light on the problems of the pharmaceutical consortium and the budget of the Municipality of Salerno”. Specifically, the MP from Salerno refers to the draft budget for 2022 which shows the operating loss of 11 million and 300 thousand euros due to contingent liabilities, as well as an overestimation of the budget in past years, furthermore credits are boasted for a value of 230 thousand euros towards “Tancredi”, an unidentifiable entity, as well as 6 million euros of debts with suppliers, and 11 million of tax debts. «The Municipality of Salerno is in a pre-disaster condition also due to poor management of public affairs, a condition which the exit from the pharmaceutical consortium would aggravate – the Honorable Bicchielli clarified in his question – The Municipality of Salerno, in fact , approved the 2024-2025 budget forecast and the 2023 final balance without an apparent reference to the consortium’s results”. «As announced, we presented the question to ministers Giorgetti and Piantedosi so that they could shed light on the economic situation of the institution. We find ourselves faced with a worrying situation which leaves no room for doubts and interpretations but those who should give explanations to citizens continue to choose the path of silence, it is unacceptable – said the Salerno MP – From the national government, I want to reiterate, great attention to the south, to the territories and to our city. Let’s move forward to finally give clear answers to the people of Salerno who today rightly demand transparency, seriousness and correctness.”
