A package of measures to protect minors, families and parenting. This was approved by Luca Zaia’s Venetian regional council which in the last few sessions passed four resolutions allocating contributions in favor of the Veneto Adoption System, support for family foster care, municipalities with a population of no more than 20,000 inhabitants for the inclusion in communities of minors. The overall allocation of 31 million euros for early childhood (3-36 months) and childhood (3-6 years) services was also approved, to which a further four million euros will be added for early childhood and to childhood and 1.2 million euros for expenses for support teachers in the same offering units, through the budget adjustment bill, already under examination by the Regional Council. “The care, protection and protection of children and adolescents – underlined the social councilor Manuela Lanzarin – are not only our institutional duty, but also a choice to which we pay particular attention year after year by allocating funds and promoting planning. It is necessary to address the topic with a multidisciplinary, social and educational approach, in order to offer an effective response to the ‘overall’ needs expressed by minors and their families”. A commitment that the region, recalls the councillor, “also supported with a cycle of meetings held from 26 March until 18 June 2024, in each provincial territory, to which the operators of the system responded with great participation, to get involved in order to strengthen family policies and promote positive parenting”
