“Golosaria Wine&Food”, an innovative format to tell the story of Calabria’s food and wine

Milan – Routes “Golosaria Wine&Food” is the thematic event entirely dedicated to Calabria, held in Milan on 17 June 2024, from 10.30am to 8pm, at the prestigious Melià Hotel.

The Calabria Region described its territory through food and tourism with the presence of 23 companies, 9 of which were wine and 14 agri-food, some of which were also linked to original hospitality experiences. Inside the lab space, two wine masterclasses and two food lab with a thematic focus on the peculiarities of Calabria, dedicated to wines and an innovative gourmet reinterpretation of the dishes that are symbols of Calabrian food and wine culture. The appointments, aimed at Italian restaurateurs and food operators, led by Paolo Massobrio and Marco Gatti, with the presence of the general director of the Tourism, Territorial Marketing and Mobility Department of the Calabria Region, Maria Antonella Cauteruccio, lasting 60 minutes, lasted given voice to Calabria, bearer of the profound identity threads of taste that populate it, with a view to valorising the territories and the food and wine sector, as hooks for regional tourism development. An important showcase to tell exciting stories of Calabrian excellence as a driving force for the development of food and wine and experiential tourism. Food as an identity builder and tourist attractor, capable of telling a story, of making all visitors experience a unique journey through taste in the heart of the territories, with the delicacies created by the chefs inside the lounge area of ​​the “Bar Elyxir Melià”, who used Calabrian raw materials from the companies present for their preparations.

Food and wine culture that becomes a tourist offer, with excellence also ambassadors of hospitality, a mosaic of flavors synonymous with an extraordinary Calabria. A welcome in the different territories that speaks of a tourist-accommodation proposal synonymous with quality and authenticity, capable of enhancing every aspect of the territory, through a storytelling that speaks not only of the individual product but also and above all of the emotional experience built around it . This is the Calabria that presented itself at “Golosaria Wine&Food” as an enormous treasure chest of jewels and gems designed by history, symbol of a varied region in which every bite becomes an unforgettable taste experience.
