There will be seven tracks, common to all study areas, divided into three types: two text analyses, three argumentative text tracks and two current affairs topics, from which graduates will have to choose for the first test which will be held on Wednesday 19th. For the second test, scheduled for Thursday 20 June, again from 8.30am, the focus will be on a characterizing subject based on the course of study.
THE TOTO TRACKS
The fateful toto-traces of the eve are inevitable, thinking in particular of the anniversaries that could find space: we find the anniversary of the assassination of Giacomo Matteotti, the birth 150 years ago of Guglielmo Marconi and that 120 years ago of Robert Oppenheimer. An in-depth study on the issues of climate change and the new frontiers opened by artificial intelligence could also be present.
Among the most quoted literary authors there would be Luigi Pirandello, Gabriele D’Annunzio, Alessandro Manzoni and Giuseppe Ungaretti. Taking a look at historical anniversaries, however, the First World War, the Normandy landings or even references to current events such as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the war in Ukraine stand out.
For a reference even closer to everyday life, here is the hypothesis regarding the 20 years of Facebook with the repercussions on social networks. Another plausible theme because it is sadly present in society is gender violence.
THE SECOND TEST
For the “da Vinci” high school, the second test will be based on mathematics for classical science and for the applied sciences option, foreign language and culture 3 for linguistics and dance techniques for choreutic. For the “G. Dell’Olio”, business economics for the course “Administration, Finance and Marketing”, “International relations for marketing” and “Corporate information systems”; tourism and business disciplines for tourism. Human sciences for human sciences high school classes. For the “Sergio Cosmai” institute, installation and maintenance technologies and techniques for the maintenance and technical assistance branch, dental materials sciences and laboratory for the auxiliary arts branch of the health professions: Dental technician, general and applied psychology for health and social care services.
The oral exams should begin, in most cases, on Monday 24 June, when the candidate will be presented with a document on which he will then have to create an interdisciplinary discourse touching on the various subjects studied during the year. The interview will take place after the writings and will also concern the transversal teaching of civic education. The commission will evaluate both the candidate’s ability to grasp the connections between the knowledge acquired and the educational, cultural and professional profile of the student.
The final grade of the State Exam will be expressed in hundredths, divided as follows:
maximum 40 points for school credit;
maximum 20 points for the first paper;
maximum 20 points for the second paper;
maximum 20 points for the interview.
The commission will be able to assign up to 5 “bonus” points to those who are entitled to them. The sum of all these points results in the final grade of the exam. The maximum score is 100 (with the possibility of honors) while the minimum score to pass the exam is 60/100.
