For this reason, music becomes a metaphor for the possibility of breaking down any barrier and bearing witness to peace.

The San Dionigi Auditorium of the Piacenza and Vigevano Foundation is housed inside the Church of San Dionigi. Inaugurated in 2009, it made it possible to make the building accessible to citizens again. The Church, today no longer used as a place of worship, is a splendid setting for the events, preserving precious works within it including the wooden group of the ”Lamentation over the Dead Christ” from the early sixteenth century, and the majestic Altarpiece by Gian Battista Crespi, known as Cerano, from the seventeenth century, depicting the martyrdom of San Dionigi, placed on the back wall overlooking the central altar. The auditorium hosts cultural events. It is home to concerts, conferences, exhibitions and literary meetings.

The pianist Anita Costa will play from Albeniz, Granada. By Beethoven, from the sonata Op 27 n 1 the First movement, by Bach, the Partita n 1 in B flat major.

The young man Leonardo Jampa Furini will propose Bartok’s Romanian folk dances. Beethoven’s Adagio from the sonata Op. 10 n 1 in C minor.

Danilo Grasso he will try his hand at pages by Schubert, Improvviso Op 90 n 2 and by Mozart with the First movement from the sonata k 311 in D major.

Morgan Branzaglia will perform Mendelssohn’s Rondò capriccioso Op 14, Chopin’s Nocturne op 27 n 1, Brahms’ Rhapsody Op 79 n 2. Furthermore, there will be pieces by Tchaikovsky with Morgan Branzaglia on the piano and Martin Vorobiov on the violin and by Mozart, the First movement from the Sonata in D Major for piano four hands, performed by Danilo Grasso and Morgan Branzaglia.

A beautiful opportunity, that of Vigevano, to make the young Monferrato Classic Academy known outside the Monferrato area with the students, followed with great affection and seriousness, of the Masters Sabrina Lanzi and Vittorio Sebeglia.
