“The data from the latest Bank of Italy report certifies, once again, the failure of the super bonus, so dear to the five stars, indicating that the benefits on GDP were decidedly lower than the costs. If there was ever any need, therefore, the numbers demonstrate that the super bonus has contributed to creating further public debt which will burden the new generations, a very heavy legacy for which we thank Conte and his followers. Out of a huge expenditure of over 170 billion in the period 2021-2023, it is estimated that as many as 45 billion in subsidized investments would still have been made even in the absence of the incentives. Thanks to the Meloni government we have finally managed to intervene by putting an end to such a disastrous measure which had no equal in history in terms of cost, lack of controls and maximum limit”. This was declared by Fratelli d’Italia deputy Mariangela Matera, member of the Finance Commission in the Chamber.
