The “Lombardia è Ricerca” Award for 2024 students is open until 24 September.
The Award aims to promote innovation in the area starting from school classrooms, concretely supporting innovative projects carried out in the classroom. Each team, made up of at least two male and female students, belonging to a Lombard high school can present an innovative project on the theme of the year – “Life Sciences” for this edition – e win up to 12 thousand euros to divide and use as you prefer.
To participate, the school to which the participating team belongs must send the application according to the procedures set out in the regulations. But what projects can be presented? In what ways? Here are the answers to the most common questions!
What are the eligible projects?
Prototype projects or inventions such as systems, tools or technological applications consistent with the theme of the 2024 edition “Life Sciences” can be candidates for the “Lombardia è Ricerca” Award. The regulation provides some examples.
What is meant by a working prototype?
This means a model of the product or system capable of reproducing, even in a simplified form, all the functions for which it was designed.
What are the thematic areas relating to the Life Sciences theme?
Life Sciences includes a large number of specializations, such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Biotechnology, Medicine and Bioengineering, but also Veterinary Medicine and Environmental Sciences.
How many students can be nominated for the Award?
The Regulations for awarding the Prize require that student groups be made up of at least two members, but do not provide for a maximum number. The students indicated in the application form must be those who actually took part in the development and implementation of the project.
What type of information material can be sent to complete the project technical sheet?
In addition to the information already provided in the project technical sheet, photos, videos (via link to an external repository), Power Point presentations or other information material that is deemed useful to explain the functionality of the candidate project can be transmitted.
