Sei Toscana’s environmental education for high school

This year too, Sei Toscana has been very busy promoting environmental education projects, initiatives and activities. In addition to “Re-Creation”, the project which this year alone involved more than 8,000 primary and secondary school students, there were several moments of meeting with many children from technical institutes and high schools.

During the meetings, the topic of waste and its management was discussed in depth, from the division of the materials that each of us produces on a daily basis, moving on to all the useful indications for carrying out correct separate collection, up to the different final destinations that they bring materials to new life.

During the school year, Sei Toscana held lessons in different parts of the territory, mostly affected by the reorganization of collection services. From the Maremma to the Val d’Elsa, passing from the Casentino to the Etruscan Coast, where the activities involved all the high schools in the municipality of Piombino, intercepting young people from a large part of the Val di Cornia. Territories as diverse as they are precious, in which sustainable waste management plays a strategic role for the purposes of safeguarding and protecting the environment. Precisely for this reason, environmental training and education meetings represent one of the most important activities for Sei Toscana.

“Educating and training young people on sustainability issues is one of our objectives – states the president of Sei Toscana, Alessandro Fabbrini –. And we wish good luck to the young people who are preparing to take their final exams in recent days, certain that they will be able to face future challenges with full awareness and environmental awareness”.
