AGREEMENTS DEFINED
After the courtship of the past few days now everything is done for the arrival at FC Pistoiese of the striker Federico Cardella and the defender Tommaso Mazzei. Both at Nocerina in the last season, the agreement between the parties is now defined and in the next few hours the two footballers will be in the city. Cardella, born in 1994, last season scored 20 goals in 30 games in Group G of which he was in fact the absolute protagonist. Born in 1995, Mazzei is a center back with very long experience with over 250 appearances in Serie D, a championship he won twice: in 2015 with Racing Club Roma and in 2022 with Giugliano. The new orange company hits the first market hits.

IN DEFENSE I LIKE POLVANI
The Pistoia area Lorenzo Polvani is pursued strongly by FC Pistoiese And Livorno. The defender born in 1994, who over the years has worn the shirts of Pontedera, Pistoia, Empoli, San Donato, Ravenna and finally Arezzo, was contacted some time ago by the association led by president Sergio Iorio. What complicated the negotiations with the oranges, however, was certainly the arrival of Paolo Indiani to Livorno who could push to bring the strong defender to Amaranth, already employed by the Certaldo coach in Arezzo, where they obtained promotion to Serie C and even before that to Pontedera (three years) and San Donato.
In the past three very serious knee injuries have slowed down the launch ramp of Polvani who was now ready for big stages, but in recent seasons he seems to have regained complete physical integrity. We’ll see who will be able to win the contest, however the fact remains that the arrival of the defender at Pistoia it would truly be a luxury for the D series.

The first signings of the new FC Pistoiese are now upon us. Notwithstanding that, in chronological order, it should before arriving the announcement of the coach Giacomarro, while waiting for the green light, the manager Taibi has already closed the agreement with some players who, barring unforeseen circumstances, will wear the orange shirt in the next championship. It’s definitely a big shot Federico Cardella, striker born in 1994, absolute protagonist of the last Group G with 20 goals in 30 games. In detail, the center forward scored 9 goals in 12 games with Ostiamare until December and from January onwards 11 goals in 18 appearances with Nocerina. In his career he has also done very well with the shirts of Ladispoli and Cynthialbalonga, signing respectively 19 goals in 2019 and 16 in 2021.
The other over, again coming from Nocerina, should be Tommaso Mazzei. Born in 1995, he is a very experienced central defender who has played beyond 250 matches in Serie D. In the last championship he was a starter for Nocerina (32 appearances), while in the past he played, among others, with Ostiamare, Cynthialbalonga, Pineto and Anzio. He won Serie D twice: the first in 2015 col Racing Club Rome and the second in 2022 col Giugliano. Again for the defensive department, the young man’s arrival seems close Raffaele Cuomo, born in 2006. Central midfielder, he is the captain of Fiorentina Under 18 and, despite being born in Pistoia, he did the whole process from a very young age in the Viola team. His arrival would complete the first piece of the youth department, to which the returning horse could soon be added Samuele Diodato (2005).

Once the coaching puzzle has been solved, the one linked to the players who, during the 24/25 season, will wear the orange uniform begins. A first question mark concerns those who in the previous season were part of theAglianese and who therefore, now, could follow the now former Neroverdi leaders in the shadow of the “Melani”. In this regard, there are various interesting names, starting with those that, like Valentini And Viscomi, have already been part of Pistoiese in the past. For both, in fact, the connection with the square is certainly not a mystery, and the experience they have could certainly be useful. In addition to Valentini, who after the first part of the season at Olandesina moved to Agliana at the end of December, the youngster also seems to like the goal a lot Raphaelshigh-altitude goalkeeper, born in 2005, owned by Bologna and who has made himself well talked about with excellent performances at Grosseto.
As far as defense is concerned, however, together with Viscomi the name that has been circulating in the last few hours is that of Francesco Bertolopraetorian of Giacomarro who under his orders, al Team Altamura, in the recently concluded championship he reached 32 total appearances. In addition obviously to Bertolo, Viscomi’s characteristics would also go perfectly with the playing style of Giacomarro, who in recent seasons has always opted for a three-man defensive line. We were talking about the former Pistoiese players: there are two in particular who could become relevant again in this hot summer transfer window. We are talking about the evergreen Andrea Caponi and of Samuele Diodato, together until December in orange. For them the year ended at United Riccioneit’s true, but the possibility of a return to our province could tease them quite a bit.
As regards the offensive department, however, the colleagues of Football news they seem to be convinced that they are on the trail of the external expert Leonardo Nanni and on those of the thoroughbred bomber Federico Cardella there is, in fact, also the Pistoiese. With eight goals scored and eleven assists on the scoresheet, Nanni’s season, playing for the Lentigion, was absolutely positive…not at all surprising, therefore, that his name ended up in Taibi and Pazzini’s notebook. Ditto for Cardella, who graduated top scorer of group G of Serie D with twenty goals in total. The Roman tip, which this year made the fortunes of Ostiamare before and Nocerina then, however, she is extremely courted. Many teams, including that of president Iorio, also lined up for Antonio Ferraravery prolific attacking winger (ten goals for him in the last year) of United Riccione. The will of the white-blue club is obviously to retain the winger, even if several have already knocked on the latter’s door at the moment.

All that’s missing is the official announcement: Domenico Giacomarro will be the coach of FC Pistoiese for the 2024/25 restart season. The club and the coach have in fact reached an agreement with the former Altamura will arrive in the city in the next few hours to sign the contract that will bind him to the newborn orange club. Its presentation is instead scheduled for next week: the first brick, therefore, it was just placed.
JUNE 12TH
Thursday, or at the latest Friday, could be the decisive one for the definitive coming out of the closet about the new coach of the team. FC Pistoiese. Unless there are twists and turns, which are in any case the order of the day – as in the Tabbiani case – the new orange coach will be Domenico Giacomarro. All the clues lead to the former coach of Team Altamura and the path now seems clear. Champion in Group H with the Apulian club no more than two months ago, he has conquered his career four more promotions to Serie C with Vittoria (2003), Potenza (2004), Paganese (2006) and Picerno (2019). All hot spots which therefore make it clear that Giacomarro certainly does not lack personality and character to launch himself into a challenge which will however present unknowns like the orange one. The coach has already given his general approval and an update is expected between the parties in the next 24-48 hours. However, all clues lead to the Sicilian technician.

An agreement with the Fidelis Andria which now seems like a done deal and which is instead destined to fail. And so Domenico Giacomarro is forcefully back in contention for the bench of the FC Pistoiese. The name of the coach who had just won the Serie D with Team Altamura had been removed from the list after the strong interest of the Apulian club, but the black smoke could lead Giacomarro to dress, again, ideally in orange. Second Alfredo Pedullà, Pistoiese would even have already chosen the Sicilian coach as their new coach. Very hot hours therefore, but the feeling is that we can soon reach the green light.
Among his successes are five promotions from D to C. .The first col Victory in 2003, by repechage after the victory in the playoffs, while subsequently he won the championship three times: with the Paganese in 2006, col Picerno in 2019 and this year with Altamura. Furthermore, in 2000 he won the Excellence on the bench of Pro Vasto.

With the club having not yet decided who to entrust the bench of the new orange course, the list of possible coaches continues to change day by day. The new profile, which has recently emerged, could be that of Alberto Villa. Born in 1979, he already knows the square of Pistoia after having lived there as a footballer between 2002 and January 2005. Two and a half seasons for the Lombard attacker for a total of 68 appearances and 15 goals before the transfer to San Marino in the winter transfer market session. Instead he started as a coach deputy of Nicola Antonio Calabro first at Viterbese and then at Catanzaro until 2021. As first coach he led the Pergolettese and, last year, the Virtus Francavilla, relegated to Serie D at the end of the championship after the playouts.

A large part of the management organization chart for the new season has been officially revealed at home Pistoia Fc it’s time to choose who will be the coach. The former midfielder enjoys the esteem of the square and of the main sponsor Vannino Vannucci and, together with Venturi, is probably the one who knows the Tuscan group and the Serie D players more than anyone. However, it cannot be ruled out, as mentioned in recent weeks, that the director Taibi is working secretly to bring a profile known to him to the city. In any case, from the mouth of Iorio himself, at most within a week the name of the new coach will be revealed.
