Roata at the Challenge in Brescia

Great results obtained by the Atletica Roata Chiusani standard bearers at the Brescia Challenge on Sunday 16 June, which ensures participation in the Italian championships at the end of the month in La Spezia. Fifth place tied with fourth place for Andy Gatto in the 110 h, with a new PB of 14”36, albeit in a slightly windy context. Allassane Diallo is 14th in the 400 hs, while the 4×400 relay team made up of Massa S., Gatto A., Diallo A., Coppola L. ranked 16th. On Wednesday 19 June, the registrations for the highest national event at an absolute level will be announced, with excellent chances of being called up for the Roatese athletes. Accompanying the Roata Chiusani standard bearers in Brescia was coach Fabio Milano.

Large presence of Atletica Roata Chiusani at the 25th edition of the Walter Merlo Memorial Regional Meeting, taking place in Cuneo on Sunday 16 June. With 34 athletes present, Roata achieved numerous podiums, with excellent chronometric results and new personal records. Irene Giraudo finished 2nd in the 100 meters in 12”72, placing Anita Armando, Anna Lingua, Eleonora Blengino and Maria Carosso. In the personal best in the 400, Asia Giraudo in 1’02”43, Maria Carosso in 1’09”95 and Francesca Santucci in 1’11”13; good Debora Armando. In the women’s long jump prsonal best for Anna Lingua with a measurement of 4.41. Seasonal record for Amadou Dosso (11”37) in the men’s 100, more than positive results for Pietro Giordano and Matteo Scarrone. Good performances in the 400 men for Matteo Scarrone, Nicolò Ocleppo and Simone Parola. Placed in the 3000 men Pietro Matarazzo and Pietro Belmondo. In the men’s high jump, season best for Alessandro Massa, who climbed to the 2nd step of the specialty podium. In the 80 meters personal Cadette for Denise Allena in 10”99, in the high jump personal Cadette with 1.35 for Alice Martinengo, in the weight Cadette victory for Maia Viano with 9.37; good Rebecca Servetti. In the 300 Cadets, good performances by Pietro Carignano, Alessandro Fino, Leonardo Morello and Lorenzo Gramazio, all on staff. Victory and personal best for Pietro Carignano in the shot put, with the measurement of 10.68 metres. Matteo Brignone did well in the 60 hs for the boys, with Mattia Pittavino at his best in the long jump. Personal and 2nd place in the Girls 60 hs for Annalisa Magliano (10”21), second with a PB also in the long run with 4.18 metres; good Beatrice Peano and Maya Rolando.

Category placings and podiums for the Atletica Roata Chiusani standard bearers involved in the 7th edition of the Notturna di San Luigi di Villafalletto, staged on Thursday 13 June. For the Rookie sector, 3rd place EM5 for Marco Cosio Brignone, and in the EF10 category for Caterina Carignano, followed by teammate Emma Peano. Placements for Martina Di Murro, Beatrice Peano and Andrea Ballario in the Boys/Girls category. Fourth and fifth place for Andrea Mandrile and Davide Dutto in the Cadetti test, well placed Leonardo Morello, Francesco Davico and Giovanni Battista Peano. In the 5.1 km test reserved for Absolutes and Masters, category victories for Massimo Galliano (SM50), Davide Martina (SM45), Beppe Pellegrino (SM60), Marco Olmo (SM75) and Sara Viale (SF45). Second step of the category podium for Luca Massimino (SM40) and Mattia Culasso (PM). Third place for Pietro Belmondo (AM) and Francesco Godano (JM). Placements for Maurizio Morello (18th overall), Matteo Ribotta (48th), Vittorio Rossetti, Floriano Roá, Flavio Gancia, Pietro Mandrile, Franco Peano, Guido Carignano.

Sarah Aimée still protagonist

At the Notturna del Centro Storico, 8th round of the Corri Piemonte, held in Giaveno on 13 June, Sarah Aimée L’Epée confirmed her excellent form by once again bringing the colors of Atletica Roata Chiusani to the first step of the women’s overall podium. The first woman to cross the finish line, Sarah completed the 6km of the tortuous city route in 22’53”.
